Attend the Festival

General Public

Attending the Project Host BBQ Festival and Cook-off is totally free of charge. Come enjoy music, select children’s entertainment items, and the ambiance of a festival downtown. Tickets ($2 each) are sold at the gate only—no advance sales—for food samples, beer, wine, cocktails and select entertainment items (e.g., bounce house, face painting). Some sample pricing for event items can be found below. In addition to the BBQ samples, there are also select food trucks available on site for food purchases.

REGISTER TO COOK

Project Host BBQ Cook-off and Festival invites you to participate in this fun event for a great cause while competing against other professional cookers for top prizes and awards. The Anything Butt Contest held Friday night invites you to make your best sweet or savory dish and have it judged by Greenville area first responders. Saturday’s competition focuses on pork butts and is held in conjunction with the South Carolina BBQ Association. Cash prizes and bragging rights will be handed out at an awards ceremony Saturday afternoon.

VOLUNTEER

Our annual BBQ has a lot of moving parts, and we need lots of volunteers to pull off a successful event. All volunteers receive a free volunteer shirt and tickets to eat and drink at the festival.
